Why a Continuous Glucose Monitoring?

Continuous Glucose Monitoring systems (CGMs) changed the way we manage diabetes. CGMs can be used independently or integrated into devices for continuous insulin infusion like insulin pumps and  Advanced Hybrid Closed Loop systems, or other connected diabetes devices. Moreover, CGMs can be better adjusted to personal or professional use for better blood glucose monitoring for different reasons.

Because CGM is recognized as a Standard Protocol for the management of diabetes, allowing a significant improvement in glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) values, while reducing the risk of hypoglycemia and increasing the time in healthier glucose range, and all this is independent of the method of insulin administration.

Because with more precise and durable sensors an extra security and comfort is added. Because the systems facilitate and reinforce adherence to treatment, thanks to continuous availability of the glucose data, alerts and alarms. Because patients can share their data with followers who may help them if needed.
