The tslim X2 Insulin pump with interoperable technology is an alternate controller enabled (ACE) pump that is intended for the subcutaneous delivery of insulin, at set and variable rates, for the management of diabetes mellitus in people requiring insulin. The pump is able to reliably and securely communicate with compatible, digital devices, including automated insulin dosing software to receive, execute, and confirm commands from these devices.
The t:slim X2 insulin pump is made up of the t:slim X2 insulin pump, the t:slim X2 3mL (300 units) cartridge, and a compatible infusion set. The combination of the t:slim X2 pump with Control-IQTM technology and a compatible continuous glucose monitor (CGM).
Advanced Hybrid Closed-Loop system (AHCL) insulin pump automatically adjusts insulin delivery rates in response to predicted sensor glucose readings 30 minutes ahead and can deliver an automatic correction bolus. The pump can be used with or without Control-IQ technology enabled.
Basal-IQ® technology and a compatible continuous glucose monitor (CGM) may be referred to as the “System.” The pump delivers insulin in two ways: basal insulin delivery (continuous) and bolus insulin delivery. The t:slim X2 insulin pump is protected against defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use, for the period of 4 years from the original date of shipment of the pump to the original end use purchaser.
Advanced Hybrid Closed-Loop system (AHCL) designed to help increase time in range (70 - 180 mg/dL) using Dexcom G6 CGM values to predict glucose levels 30 minutes ahead with zero finger bricks and adjust insulin delivery accordingly, including delivery of automatic boluses, up to one per hour.
